How to use Left on Apple Watch

The Left Apple Watch app brings the most important parts of Left to your wrist. You can check time progress, see what is next, complete reminders, log habits, update aims, reset streaks, and browse countdowns without opening the iPhone app.

What you can see on Apple Watch

The Watch app uses simple vertical pages. You can swipe between enabled screens, open lists, view details, and take quick actions. The visible screens are controlled from the iPhone app, so the Watch only shows the sections you care about.

The default order is Left Time, Planner, Habits, aims, Streaks, and Ahead.

Left Time

Left Time shows progress through the current day, week, month, and year. Each section has a compact progress bar and percentage so you can stay aware of time passing at a glance.

Planner

Planner shows your current and upcoming calendar events, reminders, weather, overdue items, and what is next. You can open a full list grouped by overdue items, today, tomorrow, and upcoming days.

Planner details can include title, date, time, calendar or reminder list, location, priority, repeat information, notes, weather, and a complete button for reminders.

Habits

Habits on Apple Watch show what is due today and let you log a habit with one tap. You can also undo a completion, see habits grouped by status, review the last 7 days, and check streak and habit strength details.

Aims

Aims on Apple Watch let you view active and completed number-based goals, log progress, unlog progress, and check current amount, target or start value, entries, created date, deadline, and progress bar when a target exists.

For count up aims, the Watch adds progress. For count down aims, the Watch reduces the remaining amount.

Streaks

Streaks on Apple Watch show ongoing counters and details such as current streak, start date, restarts, average streak, longest streak, and the last 7 days. You can reset a streak and undo a reset made today.

Ahead

Ahead shows upcoming dates, countdowns, and milestones. You can browse the full list and open details with name, start date, end date, time between dates, time until start, notes, and todos.

Navigation, sync, and availability

Use vertical swipes to move between screens, or open the screen list from the toolbar. The app refreshes when opened, when it becomes active, and periodically while in use.

Left keeps recent synced information cached on the Watch, so it can still display recent data when the iPhone is not immediately reachable. Some screens depend on your subscription level and the screens enabled from the iPhone app. If setup is needed, the Watch app asks you to open Left on iPhone.
