How to Add Weeks and Days to Your iPhone Screen
Your iPhone's Lock Screen shows the weekday and the date, but not the week number or how many days are left. Widgets fill that gap: they can show the week of the year, the days left in the week, month or year, and the weeks until a date, and they update themselves.
Show the week number and days left in the week
Left's Week widget is made for this. On the Lock Screen, its circular size shows the days left in the week inside a ring, with the week number, for example WEEK 45. The rectangular size shows the days left with a progress bar and a percentage, and the inline size fits the days left next to the date.
- Touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customize, then choose the Lock Screen.
- Tap the widget area below the clock, find Left and add the Week widget.
- Tap Done.
On the Home Screen, the Week widget shows the days left in the week, and the This week widget shows the seven days with the past ones faded. The Lock Screen widget guide covers sizes and placement.
Show the days left in the month and year
- Month: the days left in the current month, on the Home Screen or Lock Screen.
- Year: the days left in the year, or the percentage left. Its Show time as option counts the year in days, weeks or months.
- Months: the twelve months of the year with the past ones faded.
Count the weeks until a date
For a date that matters, such as a due date, a trip or an exam, add it to Ahead and use Show as... to count in weeks or days. Add the Ahead widget to the Home Screen or Lock Screen and the count updates every day.
See your life in weeks
