Age calculator
Enter your date of birth and see your exact age — in years, months, days, and total hours lived.
How age is calculated
Age is measured in calendar years, months, and days — not just days divided by 365. For example, if you were born on January 31st and today is March 1st, you are 1 month and 1 day older (in a non-leap year), not 1 month and 0 days. This tool uses calendar-correct arithmetic for the years and months portion.
The total days and hours are calculated from the exact moment of midnight on your birth date to right now, so they update live every second.
Fun age milestones
- 10,000 days old — falls at roughly 27 years and 4 months
- 1,000 weeks old — roughly 19 years and 2 months
- 1 billion seconds old — approximately 31.7 years
- Half a century — 50 years, often marked as a milestone birthday
To find the exact date of a future milestone, use the add/subtract date calculator.
Age vs. birthday countdown
This tool tells you how old you are now. For a countdown to your next birthday, use the days until your birthday tool.
